Hidden Histories was curated by John Cunningham at the Warrnambool Art Gallery, April, 2014. Working with field recordings and Paul Carter’s idea of “ground truthing”, which in this context I’ll call “sound truthing”. There were some fabulous environments to record around Warrnambool, including this one – Hopkin’s Falls – which I worked together with excerpts from the 19th century opera “Muutchaka” to create a soundscape composition.
