Bibbaringa Dawn

Bibbaringa Dawn is a four-channel sound installation 2019. I went with Therese to an artists retreat at Bibbaringa Farm near the NSW/Victoria border. The retreat was led by the great painter John Wolseley whom I first worked with in 2006. I was experimenting with a site-specific approach to developing graphic scores as well as making field recordings.  John invited me to return to Bibbaringa later in the year to present my sound installation in the woolshed as part of his Earth Canvas project. Earth Canvas was acquired by the Australian National Museum, Canberra, and the exhibition, including Bibbaringa Dawn toured galleries in NSW, Victoria, the ACT, and South Australia from 2019-2022: Swan Hill Regional Art Gallery; The Riddoch Arts + Cultural Centre (Mt Gambier); Mildura Regional Art Gallery; Museum of the Riverina (Wagga Wagga); Tamworth Regional Gallery; Griffith Regional Gallery;  and the National Museum of Australia (Canberra)
