I developed the radiophonic soundscape composition Landscape After Death [Dub] during a residency at the Electronic Music Unit of the Elder Conservatorium of Music in August 2016. The idea behind this work is to try and create a soundscape composition using principally the sound of the human voice recorded with live signal processing. It has been developed for an octaphonic sound system, and was presented in a sound cube configuration in the Madley Studio. During my time as sound artist in residence, I also experimented with a random distribution of speakers in Studio Four and found the piece works also as a radiophonic sound installation within which the attendee can move freely. The audio file below is a two-channel reduction of the octaphonic mix, and not strictly speaking a stereo mix.
